How much oil can be extracted from 1kg soybean？

  The oil content of soybean is 18%-20%. If you process 1kg soybean, the amount of soybean oil you can get is different, based on different processing method. Using soybean pretreatment and pressing method, you will get about 130g soybean oil. If you use solvent extraction method to extract soybean oil, you will get about 190g soybean oil.

  You may be curious why the amount of soybean oil you can get is so different when using different technical processing? And what is the difference between the two technical processing methods?

  Soybean pretreatment and pressing method is using physical extrusion method. Use soybean oil press machine to extract oil from soybean which has been pretreated.Finally, the oil residue in the cakes is about 7%-8%.
Soybean oil olvent extraction method is acturally called soybean pretreatment and solvent extraction method, which is to use solvent to extract soybean oil from soybean that has been pretreated. The solvent often used is n-hexane, which can be recycled in soybean oil solvent extraction plant. Finally, the oil residue in soybean meal is less than 1%.

  So the amount of soybean oil you get depends on the residual oil rate of each technical processing method. Besides the difference, there is similarity of the two technical processing methods. It is soybean pretreatment section. Whatever using pressing or solvent extraction method, before processing, the soybean should be adjusted into the best condition to increase the oil yield.

  However, whether you can use solvent extraction method to extract soybean oil depends on how many tons soybeans you have  If the input capacity is large than 30 tons per day, soybean oil solvent extraction plant is the best choice for you. If the input capacity is less than 30 tons per day, soybean oil pressing plant is better.
