Sunflower crude oil - filter removing impurities (crude extracted oil is generally without filter) - alkaline deacidification (including phosphoric acid process) - Absorbent - Distillation deodorizing - cooling and crystallization dewaxing - sunflower cooking oil or salad oil

 

Sunflower husk and cell walls, contain some wax. This part is an ester wax advanced monocarboxylic and advanced monohydric alcohol formed. In the sunflower oil making process, due to the role of temperature and solvent and accompanying mixed with oil. The wax content in crude pressed oil is less than that of crude extracted oil from leaching euipment, so the dewaxing process is necessary for sunflower oil. Dewaxing is also called winterization or winterisation.

In June 23, our 120TPD sunflower oil production plant project in Uganda started installing. Our company sent two engineers to help install this sunflower oil production plant and local workers to cooperate.

In this sunflower oil production plant in Uganda, the raw material is sunflower seeds without shell. These two kinds of oil seeds pretreatment machine, magnetic drum and cleaning sieve,  are used to remove the impurities from sunflower seeds. And through husking machine, flaking machine and cooking machine, the sunflower seeds will be more easily pressed.

Now the installation of this 120TPD sunflower oil production plant is almost completed. The whole machines have passed test and run well.

1. Cleaning:
To make rice bran oil, cleaning is the first step. Same with other oil seeds pretreatment process, rice bran needs cleaning section to remove mechanical impurities in rice bran to improve oil yield rate.

2. Puffing:
Puffing machine is able to destroy oil seeds cell completely with high temperature, high pressure, etc. Puffing is necessary part to make rice bran oil.

Impurity removal. Impurity of extracted peanut oil must be removed in order to reduce losses and increase yield of peanut oil in groundnut oil refining process. Crude oil filter can remove impurities, control impurity of extracted peanut oil under 0.2%, thus improve degumming efficiency.

Usually the physical refining method is used for the capacity above 30 tons per day full continuous groundnut oil refining production line. It’s also used when the acid value of crude oil is low. The physical refining process includes three main sections, degumming, decolorization and deodorization. The deodorization tower has the function of moving acid and smell, so the acid is moved at the same time of the smell. This is the special part for the physical refinery.
